Brass Band edition - 45 Essential Tunes
The brass
band edition of the Book for All Occasions is a great
way to expand the repertoire of your band at a very reasonable price.
Featuring 45 popular tunes, most of which will not require a great deal
of practice by a half-decent band (
listen
to the mp3s for a demonstration
of some sight-reading!), the Book covers everything from classical favourites
to Joplin rags, fanfares to wedding marches.
The Book for All Occasions is available in three formats: a set of A4 ring-bound books, a lyre-friendly set of A5 (marchcard sized) books, or - if your band is on a budget - as a set of PDF files that you can print yourself.
As the arrangements are based around a fundamental 4-part harmony, they don't even need to be played by a full band. The 'essential' parts are clearly marked, so if you're struggling to make up numbers, just make sure these are covered.
